The Fine Arts Department of the Dysart Women’s Club hosted the 2015 Spring Banquet April 21, 2015 at the Dysart United Methodist Church. Everyone enjoyed the “Game Night”, fun filled evening theme. Members received a ‘go fish’ card upon arrival and mixed and mingled to find a member with a matching card. Tables were decorated with different “games we used to play!” Throughout the evening, games of trivial pursuit, Women’s Club feud and “let’s make a deal” were played for money and prizes. A delicious meal was served, including a ‘domino’ brownie and ice cream for dessert.
After a short business meeting, the 2015-16 Women’s Club Officers were installed by current president Thelma Brandt. The new officers are: Maxine Bottomley, president Ann Anniss, vice-president Coni Coffey, treasurer – Jani Wauters, Secretary and Ruth Schafbuch, Historian.
Maxine’s theme for next year is “Be Brave” in family, home and community life. No matter how much we want life to stay the same, it’s a sure thing, changes do occur, so “Be Brave” and make the most of life’s changes.
