77th Annual Geneseo Alumni Banquet

The 77th Annual Geneseo Alumni Banquet was held at the Union Middle School in Dysart on Sat. June 13, 2015. Because it was their 50th anniversary, the class of ’65 was honored. They planned and hosted the evening and presented the program, lead by Carolyn Schmitz. Approximately 90 were in attendance. Special guest was Kenneth Tressler, music teacher at Geneseo for many years. Mrs. Spanky’s Diner catered and served the delicious meal. Silver Cord members served snacks, punch and coffee and helped clean up. Cheryl Frese read an original poem she wrote for the occasion titled “The High School Years”.

3 members of the ’65 class are deceased: Ron Montgomery, Steve Kresser and Leta Mask.

Members unable to attend were: Jorja (Harder) Casbon, Barbara (Higgins) Montgomery, Tom Mitchell, Mona (Eckhart) Hart, Cathy (Hartman) Peterson, Elaine (O’Neill) Pullin, Susan (Parmater) Nosbish, Kaye (Pritchard) Thompson and Roger Taylor.
