Dysart will hold its fourth annual City Golf Car Cruise on Thursday, August 13th. Everyone with a golf car is invited to take part in the cruise, and all area residents and visitors are encouraged to join in the fun downtown. The event is being sponsored by the Dysart Development Corporation and the Dysart Hospitality and Tour (H.A.T) Team.

Registration will take place on Main Street from 5:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. with a $1.00 registration fee, and the cruise will begin at 6:00 P.M.

At 6:30 P.M. following the cruise, there will be a drawing for “door prizes” among the Golf Car Cruise participants. There will be ten prizes of $10 each in Dysart Dollars from the D.D.C. and gift certificates will be awarded courtesy of Young’s Golf Cars.

Enjoy a cool smoothie or free popcorn while you cruise or view the activities from your lawn chair. Also, pizza by the slice and soft drinks will be available under the tent on Main Street. (The local bar and grill will be closed for vacation.) You will surely want to have supper downtown during the evening!

Participants are reminded that according to the City Ordinance #263, Sections 81.02 and 81.04, all golf car drivers must have a valid driver’s license. Each golf car must be equipped with a slow moving vehicle sign, a bicycle safety flag, and adequate brakes.
