Chen joins Davis Brown Law Firm

Wei-erh Chen recently joined the Davis Brown Law Firm as an associate in the Business Division. His practice primarily focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and general business transactions.

Wei-erh is the husband of Kassidy (Lyons) Chen, the granddaughter of Don and Janice Lyons of Dysart and John and Janet Felts of Traer. Kassidy also recently accepted a position at Madison County Medical Associates in Winterset, Iowa as a family practice Physician Assistant.

Wei-erh comes to the firm from Kansas City where he practiced in the corporate finance division of Stinson Leonard Street LLP. Wei-erh has experience in advising both publicly and privately held companies on a variety of corporate and transactional issues, including securities reporting, corporate governance and entity formation.

During law school, he interned with the legal department at Meredith Corporation in Des Moines. Wei-erh also worked with the law department at the Principal Financial Group in Des Moines as an undergraduate. Wei-erh graduated magna cum laude from the University of Northern Iowa and with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law. Along the way, Wei-erh also received his Master of Theological Studies from Vanderbilt University Divinity School in Nashville, Tennessee.

Wei-erh is currently admitted to practice in the states of Kansas and Missouri.
