The Dysart Legion has two students from Union High School that will recieve the Dysart Legion Scholarship Awards. They are Lydia Lorenzen and Blake Havran.

Lydia is the daughter of Craig and Stefanie Lorenzen of Dysart. She plans on attending Hawkeye Community College and later Allen College of Nursing. Lydia would like to work as a nurse for a while, and then continue her education to become a Nurse Practitioner.

Blake is the son of Kendall and Laurie Havran of Dysart. He plans on attending Wartburg College in Waverly and majoring in Business and exploring his opportunities – he also added that it was a lot to decide at the age of just 18.

The Dysart American Legion would like to wish them well with their plans!
