Community Building to re-open Oct. 25
We have all watched the exciting progress through-out the entire summer. Our very beloved Community Building which sits on Main Street has been in the process of being renovated. Some of the updates will include an elevator easy and safe access to all levels of the building. A much more spacious and welcoming foyer. Additional storage throughout the entire building as well as new bathrooms on both levels. The entire downstairs kitchen and dining room were also re-done, along with an additional kitchen-ette that was added to the main level of the building to provide convenience during many events.
The renovations were done by Garling Construction out of Belle Plain, IA. The project stayed primarily on schedule with only a few minor bumps along the way. It is with great pleasure to announce that the Community Building renovations have been completed, and everyone is welcome to an open house that will be held on this Sunday, October 25th.
The Dysart Historical Society will be kicking the day off with a spaghetti luncheon in the basement of the building from 11 am -1 pm. Come on down to enjoy some lunch while you also get a glimpse of the beautiful renovations and updates that have been made to the Community Building.
There will be an open house in the entire building from 12 pm until 3 pm. There will be a program beginning at 1 pm which will go over some highlights of the renovations, and the exciting new opportunities that these updates will bring to our community. There will be a few different speakers at the open house, along with a few members of some of the grant organizations who helped make this possible in the first place! We hope to see everyone on Sunday!
