Big turnout at renovated Community Building gala
Many residents turned out for the fundraiser to bring new round tables and chairs for the recently renovated Dysart Community Building.
The newly renovated Community Building held one of its first events this past month. The event was a fundraiser/gala to help raise money for new round tables and chairs for the building.
The evening started out with a delicious meal catered by Terry’s Food Center. On the menu was Swiss steak with roasted red potatoes and a side of green beans cooked with almonds and bacon. The community building was decorated absolutely beautiful in a winter wonderland theme. All of the decorations were done by Shelly Docekal, Kathy Keidel and Bonnie Wagaman. There were also around 15 different hostesses who volunteered to adopt and decorate each table with a different theme and table setting. Thank you to everyone who volunteered your time and creativity to make such a wonderful event.
There were several different ways to raise money at the event including door prizes, a silent auction, and a live auction. There was also a lovely slideshow of the entire renovation process and a speech which were both done by Mayor Pam Thiele.
The new upper level floor kitchenette and bar area came in handy as they served drinks all evening. They also put the new room adjacent to the kitchenette to use by setting up the food and serving from there.
The addition of new tables and chairs will be a great asset for many different events in the future.
