Optimistically spring is just around the corner, which means it is time to start the community choir practices for the Easter Cantata, “The Journey to Hope”. The Cantata will be performed on Sunday, March 20th in Dysart and Sunday, April 3rd in La Porte City. Whether you are a member of a local church choir OR just enjoy music and singing in the shower, you are invited to join the chorus! Practices will begin on Sunday, January 24th at 4:00 p.m. at the Dysart United Methodist Church. Practices will alternate between Dysart and St. Paul United Methodist Church in La Porte City and will last one hour. Attendance is not mandatory for all practices. If you could attend 4-5 of the 8 practices, plan now to join us. “The Journey to Hope” will promise to bring a new meaning to Easter for you as we work together to produce a quality performance for our communities.
