Dysart and La Porte City Residents Join Union Middle School students in a wonderful journey through the Magical Land of Oz, as they take the stage on February 26th and 27th along with two professional actors in Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre’s original musical production of “THE WIZARD OF OZ”!

Performances are scheduled for Friday, February 26th at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 27th at 1:00 p.m. in the Auditorium of Union Middle School in Dysart.

Featuring original music and script by Daniel Nordquist, “THE WIZARD OF OZ” continues Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre’s tradition of presenting classic tales as you’ve never seen them done before.

Based on L. Frank Baum’s classic American fairy tale, Prairie Fire’s version is set in contemporary America at the beginning, and it is from there that the tornado takes Dorothy over the rainbow to Oz.

Prairie Fire Theatre professionals will play the roles of THE WICKED WITCH OF THE WEST and THE SCARECROW as well as directing the production.

Tickets for the performances are $3 and are available at the door. Activity Tickets will not be accepted.
