Ripley UCC Auction/Lunch March 12
Shopping! Shopping! Shopping! Do you like to shop for unique gifts? The Ripley Auction is the place to be. There’s always a wide variety of items to bid on, and the bidding is fun! Plan to come to the Ripley United Church of Christ’s God Given Talent Auction on Saturday, March 12. The auction/lunch will be held at the Traer Memorial Building.
The “Country Store” will open at 8 a.m. Homemade baked goods and produce will be featured at the store. The auction will start at 10 a.m. Ripley has several talented members that have made many beautiful, one-of-a-kind items and crafts. Some of the items that will be auctioned include: a lighthouse oil painting by Orleene Mason, wood items, quilts and blankets, homemade ice cream, jelly, noodles and holiday crafts. There will also be 18 antique wooden children’s chairs up for auction. A sampling of items can be seen in the window of Reuman’s Clothing in Traer.
Lunch will be served from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and includes Ripley’s famous maidrites, BBQ pork, salads, homemade ice cream, and delicious pies. These items will also be available for carry-out.
All proceeds from this auction will be used to support projects at Ripley and local mission projects. For questions or information, please contact Nancy Calderwood at 319-404-8593.
