Dysart Women’s Club hosts Spring Banquet

The Young Outlooks branch of the Dysart Women’s Club hosted the 2016 Women’s Club Spring Banquet, April 19, 2016. The theme was “Welcome to Camp Brave” and brought back camp memories from members past camp experiences. The Dysart United Methodist activity center was turned into a camp site with tents, a pond, fishing poles, fish and outdoor camping gear. During the meeting Women’s Club members earned stickers for their badges by participating in music, books, crafts and game activities. The meal consisted of trail mix, turkey pasta, croissants, beans, bug juice, coffee and cute bonfire cupcakes.
A short business meeting was held. Award for Woman of the Year went to Cheryl Korte and Hall of Fame award winner was Pat Hansen. Maxine Bottema, current president installed the following officers for the 2015-Anniss-president, Pat Jans-vice president, Coni Coffey-treasurer, Janis Wauters-secretary and Ruth Schafbuch-historian.
The theme for 2015-2016 is to “Offer Words of Encouragement to Others Who May Need Them” by new president, Ann Anniss. The Dysart Women’s Club is looking forward to another busy year of community activities and service to the community.
