Cheryl Korte was recently named the 2016 Dysart Women’s Club “Woman of the Year.”

She is an active member of the 20th Century Woman’s Club, holding many offices and participating in lots of activities. Cheryl is very active in her church, is a member of Altar Guild, church fellowship hostess, belongs to a circle, works funeral dinners and decorates the church for seasonal holidays.

Cheryl enjoys volunteering! She chauffeurs people who need rides to doctor and medical appointments, she spends many volunteer hours over the past decade fundraising and planning for the yearly Relay for Life events. In the past she scheduled personnel and kept records for the Dysart Ambulance Service.

As you enter town on Sherman Street you may have seen the lovely flower beds sponsored by the 20th Century Woman’s Club and Cheryl spends time planting, watering and caring for the flowers.

Cheryl goes quietly about volunteering and always greets everyone with a smile. Congratulations Cheryl!
