June 5 event at Dysart Historical Society
The big day is finally arriving at the Dysart Historical Center! The Machine Shed Museum with its displays and the beautiful Krafka Courtyard have been completed! Dedication and ribbon cutting ceremonies will be held on Sunday, June 5th, at 2:00 P.M. in the Courtyard. The Center will be open that afternoon from 1:00 until 4:00. There will be a short program followed by refreshments. Most of the ceremony will take place in the sun, so if it’s a warm day, an umbrella and sun screen might come in handy. In case of rain, the event will be held in the Agricultural Museum. Everyone is welcome.
The Historical Center will be open each Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. through September. Anyone wishing to visit at other times is welcome to call a board member for an appointment. A visit to enjoy the Dysart area’s historical, agricultural, and educational treasures and stories is a great way to entertain your family, out-of-town relatives, and friends. There is no charge for admission, but contributions are always sincerely appreciated.
Dysart Historical Society Board members include: President Mark Monroe, Secretary Susan Fuchs, Treasurer Debi Miller, Ann Anniss, Paul Corkery, Richard Delfs, Helen Wieben, and Catharine Wieck.
