VGH needs your help in setting up rapid notifications

Benton County Public Health and Virginia Gay Hospital is asking for your help in establishing a rapid notification system by email and/or text.

Residents of Benton County are encouraged to register their email and/or cell numbers to receive public health information in the event of a public health emergency, or other urgent information relevant to Virginia Gay’s mission of providing excellent health care for all residents of Benton County.

Your information will not be shared with any other organization. If you ever wish to unsubscribe from the list all it takes is one click on “unsubscribe.”

An example of the need to communicate quickly occurred last week when Virginia Gay’s phone service was disrupted because a cable was cut in Cedar Rapids. It was several hours before service was restored and residents had no information about the outage while their calls resulted in a busy signal.

To add your email and/or cell number for texts, visit the Virginia Gay Hospital website at myvgh.org and click on “news” at the top of the page, or type myvgh.org/news/ into your browser. The link is also available on Virginia Gay’s Facebook page.
