Tama County volunteers needed for Bible Marathon

Last year, 2016, was the first year that the Bible was read in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties! Thousands participated by reading aloud at County Courthouses. This year, we are expanding this reading to our cities and towns.

In Tama County, this will include Tama, Toledo, Garwin, Montour, Clutier, Chelsea, Vining, Gladbrook, Elberon, Lincoln, Traer, Dysart, and Buckingham. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to come and read – adults, children, senior citizens, and students of all denominations – business people, civic leaders, everyone!

Dates/times and locations in each town are to be determined by the Chairs in each town. The dates will be between Monday, June 26 and Monday, July 3. The Bible will be divided up between those towns listed and will probably take between seven and eight hours per town.

If you are interested in reading at any of the locations, email Phyllis Dunlap at msdunlap@fctc.coop or call (319) 476-7662 and she will connect you with the chair of the town you choose to read in. You may read for 15 minutes or a longer period of time.

Join in reading the inspired Word of God out loud in cities/towns throughout our state!
