Knights headed to state playoffs with win over Cascade
The boys celebrated Mark Mahood’s (87) go-ahead field goal with four seconds on the clock in Union's 22-14 win over Cascade.
The Union Knights defeated the only unbeaten team in class 2A last Friday night with a come-from-behind 4th quarter win.

Sophomore kicker Marc Mahood hit a field goal with four seconds on the clock to put Union up 16-14. On the ensuing kickoff, Cascade attempted a last effort to rugby around the ball on a return. The ball ended up in the hands of Union’s Kaleb Roach as time expired.
Union won the contest by a final score of 22-14. The Knights will face Williamsburg at 7:06 p.m. this Saturday night in the UNI Dome. Both teams were wildcards in the 2A playoffs.
