Dysart Chamber Community Connections: Holiday Traditions, Hometown Connections

Nicole Taylor.

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I’ve been thinking about how lucky we are to have so many people who give their time to make things happen in Dysart. Whether it’s planning an event, volunteering, or helping out behind the scenes, there’s a lot of work that goes into keeping our hometown traditions going.

One of those traditions is celebrating a pretty big milestone this year. The 55th Annual Dysart Holiday Bazaar is coming up Saturday, November 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Dysart Community Building. For 55 years, this event has brought shoppers and vendors together, and we’re excited to keep that tradition going! It’s a great chance to catch up with friends, find some unique Christmas gifts, and shop from talented makers, bakers, and crafters.

Then, on Saturday, December 5, Christmas on Main returns to the Community Building from 9 to 11 a.m. with Santa and Mrs. Claus, crafts, games, and holiday fun for the kids! The Dysart Community Foundation will also host its Pancake Breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon, so come hungry and enjoy the morning!

And while you’re working on those Christmas shopping lists, remember our local businesses. They’re the ones sponsoring events, donating to fundraisers, and giving back to Dysart all year long. The holidays are a great time to return that support by shopping right here at home.

As we wrap up another year, I hope you’ll take some time to enjoy these traditions, support our local businesses, and appreciate the people who help make Dysart the community it is.

Wishing you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving and a holiday season filled with plenty of hometown fun!
