Girls to finish regular season on road

The North Tama girls basketball team has won three in a row, capping off a good week with a 48-43 win over out-of-conference rival Gladbrook-Reinbeck on Saturday.

The girls beat Don Bosco 56-46 on January 28 behind a 20-point effort from Sam Zobel. Josie Youel led the Redhawks with six rebounds, and Jessi Jacobs was solid on both ends of the court, scoring nine and grabbing a team-high five steals.

Junior Anna Kvidera scored 11, and Zobel and Youel both scored in double figures for the Redhawks in their 54-31 win over Meskwaki on January 31.

The 48-43 win over Gladbrook-Reinbeck on February 1 saw Kvidera and sophomore Madison Howard both score 10 points. Zobel had 14.

The girls are now 12-6 (entering Tuesday) and have road contests against GMG (Feb. 7) and South Hardin (Feb. 10) to wrap up the regular season.
