The football banquet was held on January 26th. Close to 300 were in attendance to honor the award winners as well as the departing senior class. This year’s seniors experienced an overall record of 32-8, the most wins by an Iowa Conference team in the past, which is quite an accomplishment. They also participated in two NCAA D3 playoffs. On this years squad were two first team All-West region players in Nathan Yelton OL and Mitchell Montgomery DL. They were also awarded D3 All-American honors, Yelton a first team selection and Montgomery a third team selection. All conference players in the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference besides Yelton and Montgomery were first team OL Lathan Bass and the following second teamers. Gage Mohs RB, Keaton Juergens WR, Antoine Allen-Jackson DB, Dylan Youel LineBacker and Wes Anderson K. Team awards this year went to the following, Team MVP: Keaton Juergens; Offensive MVP: Nathan Yelton; Defensive MVP: Mitch Montgomery; Special Teams MVP Mitch Berendes & Dustin Elsbury; Scout Team POY were Brian Behrens (defense) and Kevin Martinez (offense); Coaches Award: Gage Mohs & Dylan Youel; Dougie Peters Award: Caleb Ferring and Kohawk Award: Logan Keehner.
