T-R All-Area boys basketball teams announced
North Tama’s Dostal named to Third Team

North Tama sophomore Josh Dostal powers his way to one of nine field goals during the Redhawks’ season opener Nov. 29 at home against Meskwaki. Dostal was recently named to the Times-Republi- can All-Area boys basketball team.
The Times-Republican newspaper recently announced the 2022-23 T-R All-Area boys basketball teams with North Tama’s Josh Dostal selected for Third Team.
Dostal started 17 out of 22 games this past season. He was the clear offensive leader for the Redhawks, making 120 out of 288 field goals and 32 out of 188 3-pointers.
On defense, Dostal also put in the work, leading the team in assists (60) and blocks (25), taking second in rebounds (93), and third in steals (60).
Dostal was also voted to the second team of the Iowa Star Conference’s South Division by its coaches after averaging 15.2 points per game in league play.
