North Tama’s Michael Schrier earned a first-team spot on the Iowa Star Conference All-South Division baseball teams released recently.

Schrier was a repeat first-team selection for the Redhawks. The senior catcher notched a .314 average in his final season at North Tama, leading the Redhawks with 17 runs batted in, including two doubles, and scoring 13 runs with seven stolen bases. He made only one error in 141 chances in the field, throwing out two attempted base stealers.

North Tama had three underclassmen on the second team with sophomores Josh Dostal and Gavin Rausch and freshman Kayler Morris.

Dostal hit .288 with 16 runs batted in and 10 stolen bases. Rausch had a .228 average and eight runs batted in. Morris led North Tama averaging .380 at the plate with 14 runs batted in and 22 runs scored with 14 stolen bases.

Honorable mention went to North Tama’s Kolt Knaack.
