North Tama runners compete at Pine Lake in season debut

ELDORA – Redhawk cross country runners raced for the first time this season last Thursday (August 31) at South Hardin’s Pine Lake Run in Eldora with the girls’ team placing 11th by scoring 277 points.

Jamie Jacobs was the first runner to cross the finish line for North Tama, finishing 41st with a time of 25:33.5. Gabby Seda finished close behind her teammate in 49th with a time of 26:09.7.

Ava Breakenridge (65th), Delanie Taylor (82nd), Violet Seda (111th), and Ava Monat (125th) also finished for the Redhawks.

The North Tama boys did not field a full team. Case Monat was the lone Redhawk runner on the course, finishing 99th with a time of 23:46.

The Redhawks are next set to run this week Thursday in La Porte City at the Union Invitational. The Telegraph will feature full coverage of both the North Tama and Union runners in next week’s edition.
