Redhawk XC races to first place at South Hardin

ELDORA – On Saturday, Sept. 30, the North Tama girls cross country team clinched a first-place finish at the South Hardin Invitational held on the grounds of Pine Lake Country Club. Five girls teams were in attendance including Webster City, South Hardin, Baxter, and East Marshall. North Tama took first with 23 points with the nearest competitor Webster City placing second with 32 points. Redhawk Jamie Jacobs took second place with a time of 24:34.19 behind Baxter’s Zoey Gliem’s first-place time of 23:56.81. Rounding out North Tama’s roster, Gabby Seda finished fifth with a time of 25:29.87, Ava Breakenridge finished seventh with a time of 26:59.93, Ava Monat finished 11th, Violet Seda finished 14th, and Delanie Taylor finished 20th. In the boys race, North Tama did not field a full team. Senior Case Monat finished 19th, while freshman Andrew Beenken finished just behind his teammate in 20th.
