Redhawk girls come up short against Wildcats
TRAER — The North Tama girls basketball team couldn’t quite tame Janesville, dropping a 52-48 decision at North Tama High School on Friday, Jan. 5.
Ava Breakenridge led the Redhawks with 19 points and added five rebounds; Jamie Jacobs had 11 points, five rebounds and three steals.
Every game North Tama was scheduled to play last week (Jan. 8-13) was postponed or canceled due to weather.
Entering the week of Jan. 15, North Tama was 4-7 overall. The team was scheduled to travel to GMG on Tuesday followed by a home game against Colo-NESCO (2-9) on Thursday.
Next week, the Redhawks will host Meskwaki on Monday, Jan. 22; Collins-Maxwell on the road Tuesday; Baxter back at home on Friday.
