GARWIN – After leading GMG for most of the first half during last Saturday’s road game in Garwin, the North Tama Redhawks fell behind 29-27 in the wake of a full court throw from Wolverine Colin Teske to Rider Kupka who successfully dropped in a buzzer beater to end the second quarter on a high note for GMG.

Throughout the third and fourth quarters, the Redhawks regained the lead briefly twice but mostly trailed the Wolverines by several points.

GMG won their third straight game, 63-56, thanks to an unrelenting Wolverine defense that never stopped applying pressure.

Kayler Morris and Josh Dostal led the offense for the Redhawks with 23 and 12 points, respectively. Jared Dvorak contributed another 11, while Chaz Hall and Brayton Cibula had two apiece off the bench and Ryan Hosek had one point.

Entering the week, North Tama was 7-11 (6-5) on the season and third in the conference.
