TRAER – The Redhawk girls golf team led by junior Kylie Calderwood has penciled in several top scores already this season despite wind, some rain, and even more wind wreaking havoc on the spring 2023-24 season.

Calderwood was the medalist on Tuesday, April 8, at Diamond Trail Golf Club in Lynnville against both host Lynnville-Sully and BGM, scoring a low of 46.

Collectively, the Redhawks girls amassed a 207 team score at Diamond Trail with sophomore Brooke Bradley scoring 52 for second runner-up, senior Kinsley Even taking fourth place with a 53, and junior Briar Blake fifth with a score of 56.

The previous Thursday (April 4), North Tama hosted a triangular with Colo-NESCO and Dunkerton at the Traer Golf & Country Club where again Calderwood took top medalist honors with a score of 47. Blake was second runner-up with 56, while sophomore Kensington Pick took fifth with 59.

One week later on Thursday, April 11, the girls were again in Traer for their final home meet of the season hosting the North Tama Triangle featuring both Baxter and BCLUW.

Calderwood scored top honors for the Redhawks taking second runner-up with 46 behind the medalist, BCLUW senior Lindsay Beeghly (37) and her teammates, runners-up Sydney Anderson and Leah McEwen who both scored a 44.

On Monday of this week, the Redhawks were scheduled to play in the Clarksville Golf Invite.
