TRAER – North Tama’s Ava Breakenridge was recently named to the 2023-24 Times-Republican All-Area Girls Basketball Teams as a second team selection.

The junior guard averaged 13.6 points and 5.5 rebounds per game for the Redhawks this season – accounting for roughly a third of North Tama’s total points as the team’s scoring leader for the third season in a row.

Breakenridge also led the Redhawks in assists (47), steals (65), and blocks (21).

She was the only North Tama player to land on the T-R’s list this season.

Led by second year head coach Harold Youngblut, North Tama ended the 2023-24 season 10-11 (5-7) and fifth in the Iowa Star South just behind GMG.
