North Tama gymnast medals at USTA Nationals

LOUISVILLE – North Tama rising fourth grader Bexley Stechcon of rural Clutier traveled to Louisville, Ky. last month to compete at the 2024 United States Trampoline & Tumbling Association (USTA) National Championships which took place June 17-22.

On Friday, June 21, Stechcon competed in Double-Mini Trampoline Beginner in the Girls Age 8 category, taking 26th place overall with a combined score of 35.4. According to a Facebook post on the North Tama CSD’s page, Stechcon placed eighth in her flight in the event which featured close to 80 competitors.

The next day, Saturday, June 22, she competed in Trampoline Beginner in the Girls Age 8 category, tying for 21st overall with a combined score of 15.5. In her flight, Stechcon tied for fourth in the event which featured 71 finishers.

Stechcon competes under Coach Ron Brooks at MAT Tumbling & Trampoline in Marshalltown.
