STORM LAKE – Buena Vista sophomore transfer Jadyn Rausch posted a pair of season-highs earlier this month to help the Buena Vista University volleyball team go 2-2 overall.
Rausch, a Traer native joined the Beaver roster this fall and has made an immediate impact for the team. During the week of Sept. 9, the North Tama High School Class of 2023 graduate posted a season-high 36 assists as part of a thrilling comeback home win over Martin Luther on Sept. 10 before matching that total on Sept. 13 during a win over Augustana College in the Viking Classic.
In addition to dishing out assists, Rausch was also in double figure digs in four of the five matches played. During the win over Augustana she matched her season-high with 15.
For the year, Rausch has registered six double-doubles (assists-digs) and flirted with a triple-double in each of her first two outings in a BVU uniform. In her debut, she chalked up eight kills, 14 assists and 13 digs.
The sophomore currently ranks fifth in the American Rivers Conference this season in assists per set (7.11).
As of this past Monday, Buena Vista was 5-12 overall. The team was set to play four more non-conference matches over the weekend before it opens A-R-C play on Oct. 1 at Wartburg College.
