LA PORTE CITY – The Union Knights cross country team’s annual ‘Running for a Cause’ Homecoming game ball run raised $3,400 this year toward the future Little Knights Learning Center-La Porte City campus. As part of the run, a combination of varsity, JV, and middle school runners took off from Union Middle School in Dysart on Friday afternoon and made their way along the backroads toward La Porte City. After running the ball onto Union Stadium just ahead of kickoff, the team along with head coach Justin Parson and assistant coach Jennie Lorenzen presented a donation check to members of the LKLC-LPC board.
