COLFAX — North Tama girls track and field scored 99 points to place third at a Colfax-Mingo Co-Ed Invite on Tuesday, April 22.

The Redhawks finished behind the hosts (187) and Lynnville-Sully (185) in the team standings.

Freshman Shawna Cibula was part of three runner-up finishes for the Redhawks; she earned silver in the 800-meter run and was the anchor of the second-place 4X400 and 4X800 relays.

Sophomore Olivia Youngblood had the best field event finish, fourth in the high jump after clearing 4-8.

The Redhawks’ Thursday meet at Grundy Center was canceled due to weather. This week, the team was scheduled to compete at Belle Plaine on Monday but it was canceled due to the severe weather threat, followed by Grundy Center’s Harry Dole Classic Coed today, Friday, May 2.
