LA PORTE CITY – The Union girls wrestling program continues to grow! In total, the Knights roster stands at 13 girls for the 2025-26 season.

Seniors this season include Taylor Baltes, Mya Ellsworth, Mckayla Felderman, and Lorelei Hinebaugh. Juniors include Jasmine Basset of Gladbrook-Reinbeck, Kyra Murray, Alexus Umbaugh of Gladbrook-Reinbeck, Ella Wagner of Gladbrook-Reinbeck, and Willia Wolff.

Caelyn Schaefer wrestles as the team’s lone sophomore. Freshmen include Brooklyn Garcia and Austin Kirby.

The girls kicked off their season at the English Valley on Monday, Nov. 17, followed by South Tama on Nov. 20. Last weekend, the Knights competed at the Cliff Keen Girls Invite in Independence.
