LA PORTE CITY – Union High School will begin inducting the 2025 Hall of Fame honorees on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025.

Honorees this year include Coach/Sponsor: Tim Mitchell; Team/Groups: 2015 Knights Wrestling; Individual: Max Thomsen; Distinguished Graduate: Garrett Gingrich; and Friends of Union High School: Rex and Judy Raub.

Mitchell will be honored on Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. as part of the high school’s winter band and vocal concert which takes place on stage at Matt Auditorium in La Porte City.

On Monday, Jan. 5, 2026, the 2015 wrestling team, Gingrich, and Thomsen will all be honored during the Knights boys wrestling quad with Don Bosco, East Buchanan, and Springville. Wrestling that evening begins at 6:15 p.m. in the high school’s main gymnasium.

The Raubs will be honored on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026, between the girls and boys varsity basketball games against the visiting Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels. Tipoff for the girls’ game begins at 6:15 p.m.
