Redhawks Roundball Roundup: Week 2
North Tama basketball played just one game last week due to winter weather postponing the scheduled conference match at home versus GMG on Tuesday, Dec. 9. In between snow events, both the Redhawk boys and girls notched decisive conference wins over Collins-Maxwell on the road on Friday, Dec. 12.
North Tama girls (3-1) trounced the Spartans (0-5) with a 49-28 lashing, after leading 30-19 at the half. Game stats were not available as of press time for the Redhawks.
The Redhawk boys also won their game in a 63-48 victory over the Spartans. Junior Jordan Dostal led North Tama with 18 points. Junior Kayvin Morris finished with 15 points, while junior Brayton Cibula notched a double-double with 13 points and a dozen rebounds to lead the Redhawk defense. Senior Kayler Morris contributed eight points and 10 assists, and fellow senior Josh Lasley came off the bench to score seven points.
This week, both teams were set to face Gladbrook-Reinbeck on the road on Monday, Dec. 15, before hosting Meskawki Settlement at home on Tuesday. Tonight, Friday, Dec. 19, the Redhawks head to Conrad to face conference foe BCLUW.
