LE GRAND – Knights senior wrestler Brock Bergmeier, a 2025 state qualifier, bagged his 100th career win Saturday, Jan. 24, while on the mats during the East Marshall/Meskwaki Duals. Wrestling at 165 pounds this season, Bergmeier defeated Benton Community’s Kaden Mitchell by 16-3 major decision for the milestone win. Union placed third overall in the eighth-team duals, notching wins over Gilbert 44-33 in first round, Waterloo East 50-11 in the second round, and Benton Community 38-38 in the third round before falling to North Polk and fifth-ranked Independence (IAwrestle).
