Dvorak, Monat grapple to gold at Iowa Star Wrestling Tournament
CONRAD – The North Tama Redhawks boys wrestling squad took fifth place at the 11-team Iowa Star Wrestling Tournament hosted by BCLUW in Conrad on Saturday, Feb. 7, propelled by medalists Max Monat (ranked No. 4 in Class 1A by IAwrestle at 126 pounds) and Berkley Dvorak (150) who both took their respective bracket titles; Chase Morris (113) who earned runner-up; and Drayke Dvorak (138) and Maddox Rausch (144) who both grappled their way to third.
The Redhawks scored 100 1/2 points total – a mere point behind Janesville in fourth with 101 1/2 points. Riceville earned first place (193), Lynnville-Sully second (124 1/2), and Maquoketa Valley third (120 1/2). Results for North Tama wrestlers earning team points are included below.
