Redhawks run-rule Warriors for conference win

TRAER – The North Tama Redhawks baseball team 10-runned the Rockford Warriors in six innings here on Friday, June 5, for a 13-3 conference win. North Tama was up 10-0 entering the top of the fourth before the Warriors managed a single run. In the fifth inning, both teams recorded a pair of runs. The Redhawks scored the final run in the bottom of the sixth to swiftly end the game. Sophomore Maddox Rausch took the win for North Tama, pitching four innings in which he allowed one run on one hit, struck out seven while walking one batter and hitting two others. Coming on in relief in the fifth inning, eighth-grader Hunter Dostal (pictured on the mound) struck out four and allowed two runs on three hits for the save. The Redhawks had 12 hits in total, including a triple by eighth-grader Chance Forrester who also accounted for four (4) of the team’s 10 RBIs. North Tama moved to 5-3 following the game. Rockford remained winless (0-9).
