Denny and Jill Berger of Traer and Tom and Carolyn Peterson of Cedar Falls are proud to announce the marriage of their children, Scott Eric Berger and Alana Lynn Peterson. Vows were exchanged on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 4:30 pm at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls with Pastor Randy Kasch as Officiant. Grandparents of the groom are Faye Berger and Harold and Verena Vorba, all of Traer.

The bride chose her friend Lia Plakke as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids included Amanda Caughey, Rebecca Reynolds and Stephanie Daluge. Amber Thornburg was the Personal Attendant. Eric Hayek was the groom’s Best Man. Groomsmen were Matthew Drewelow, Josh Rollins and Matthew Sonntag, all friends of the groom. Ushers for the couple were Bjorn Soneson, Tom Bredfield and Wayne Gaston. Providing music for the ceremony were Luke and Sarah Foster. Soloist was Mark Keefer and Lector was Jackie Cufr. Following the ceremony, dinner and dancing were enjoyed at the UNI Commons Ballroom.

The new couple started their marriage by skydiving from the Vinton Airport then honeymooned at Riviera Maya in Mexico. The groom is an electrician at Trey Electric in Cedar Rapids. The bride is a registered nurse at Continuing Care Hospital at St Luke’s in Cedar Rapids.

The couple is at home in Cedar Rapids.
