Mark and Janeal Lyons of Waukee along with Angie Shu-Ching Chang of Cedar Rapids and Li-Chi Chen of Chaozhou, Taiwan joyously announce the engagement of their children Kassidy Lyons and Wei-erh Chen. Kassidy is the granddaughter of Don and Janice Lyons of Dysart and John and Janet Felts of Traer. Kassidy is also the great-granddaughter of Evelyn Jennings of Traer.

Kassidy and Wei-erh met during their studies at the University of Northern Iowa. Kassidy is a 2009 UNI graduate and majored in Biology while Wei-erh is a 2007 graduate and studied Economics and Religion. Kassidy is currently a Physician Assistant Student at Des Moines University. Wei-erh graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2010 with a Masters of Theological Studies and is currently a law student at the University of Iowa College of Law. Their wedding will take place in Dysart on July 30th, 2011.
