Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Paton of Dysart received word this Thursday bringing the news of the marriage of their youngest daughter, Miss Mary Francis Paton, to Mr. Lesley Cooley at Mt. Clemens, Michigan, on Saturday, January 3.

Miss Mae Blocker and Walter Westphalen were married at the Little Brown Church Wednesday.

Jan. 9, 1941

The Dysart Trojans, playing a good brand of basketball, but not quite good enough, dropped a close contest to a classy Vinton five Tuesday evening 36-30.

A group of 38 relatives gathered at the Community Building Tuesday and held a reception for Mr. and Mrs. Donald Gonnerman of Hartley who were married in Hartley Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Otto H. Andresen of Elberon celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Wednesday, December 28, with an open house at their home.

Katha Marie Decker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Decker of Winthrop, became the bride of Larry K. Williams, son of Mrs. Frank Williams and the late Mr. Williams of Dysart, on Saturday, December 31.

Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Jans were surprised on their 20th wedding anniversary Tuesday evening, December 22, by relatives and friends who came with well filled baskets in observance of the day.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Seebach observed their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, December 27, with a dinner for 35 and an open house at the Legion Hall in the afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur E. Underwood of Walker will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary January 4, with an open house.

Mr. and Mrs. Dennis See, rural Montrose, became the parents of a daughter, Anita Jean, born Friday, December 26.

Rick and Ranae Dolleslager of Cedar Falls became the parents of a daughter born Friday, January 4, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. She has been named McKaila Marie.

Dan and Cheri Driscol of Dysart are the parents of a son, Travis Ray, born Monday, December 31.

Pauline Thoren of Dysart will celebrate her 80th birthday on January 21. She was born on January 21, 1921. Her family is planning a card shower for her.

Leo Rolfes will celebrate his 85th birthday on Sunday, January 14, with a family dinner. He was born January 14, 1916.
