Stan and Charlotte Upah, Toledo, and Steve and Linda Staker, Marion, are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter and son, Kristy Upah to Tyler Staker, both of Cedar Rapids.

Kristy is the Public Relations Coordinator and Assistant Director of Parent Programs at Coe College. She graduated from South Tama County High School in 2004 and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Coe in 2008 with public relations, writing and fitness development majors. Tyler is the Offensive and Recruiting Coordinator for the Coe College Football team. He graduated from Fredericksburg High School 2002 and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Coe in 2006 with business administration and education majors.

Grandparents of the bride are Maxine (Don, deceased) Upah of Toledo and John and Ludmilla (Stadler) Perkins of Cresco. Great-grandmother of the bride is Hattie Cibula of Toledo. Grandparents of the groom include Evelyn (Earl, deceased) King of Waverly and the late Burdell and Jean Staker of Traer.

The couple will be married on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Tama, Iowa.
