News & notes from the Traer Library
FREE FOR
THE TAKING
We replaced the padded backs on the chairs in the computer lab. Someone commented what nice pads they would make for kneeling in the garden. We have 5 to give away – stop in if you would like one.
NEED YOUR HELP
We need a couple items for our summer reading crafts – buttons and rocks. Any loose buttons would be appreciated. The rocks need to be flat about the size of a fist – the children will be painting them as part of a pet rock project. If you have either to donate, please drop them off at the library.
STATE FAIR &
4-H PROJECTS
We will be hosting Mary Kay Shanley on Thursday, June 13 at 7:00pm in the Kupka Cultural Center. She will be speaking on the Iowa State Fair. In preparation we would like to showcase past 4-H projects throughout the library. If you have a project that you took to the county or state fair and would be willing to loan it to the library for a month, please label it clearly and bring it in to the library anytime after May 1. If you have ribbons from recipes and are willing to share the recipe, please bring them in and we will feature them in a newsletter. If you have trophies and pictures we would love to display them. Call the library or email me with any questions.
