She was born July 8, 1918 in Fairbank to George and Lydia Bentley. She married Gilbert Paustian on January 18, 1939. He passed away in 1994.

Edith’s family includes Betty Ericksen of Longview, Wa, Joyce Paustian of Tripoli and Ron Paustian of Des Moines along with five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
