The Dysart American Legion awarded three $500 scholarships last May during Union High School’s Senior Scholarship Night to members of the 2021 graduating class.

Recipients this year included Dallas Blackburn, Ellie Behrens, and Belle Weber.

Blackburn is the son of Brad and Kerry Blackburn. He is attending Loras College in Dubuque this fall and is undecided on a major at this time.

Behrens is the daughter of Chris and Andrea Behrens. She is attending the University of Iowa with plans to major in biology and pursue a career in medicine.

Belle Weber is the daughter of Brian and Deb Weber. She is attending Missouri State University with plans to major in cellular and molecular biology and pursue a career in medicine.
