The North Tama High School band led by director Channing Halstead (bottom left) earned a Division I overall rating on May 5 at the Iowa High School Music Association’s (IHSMA) State Large Group Festival hosted by BGM in Brooklyn. “For those who might not know, that’s the best rating you can get!” Halstead posted on Facebook following the event.
