MEMBERS1st Community Credit Union is offering seven $1,000 College Scholarships to MEMBERS1st members for the 2017-2018 academic year. Members can submit an application through the MEMBERS1st website at www.MEMBERS1st. com. Deadline to apply is Wednesday, March 15, 2017.

The credit union will award five scholarships to high school seniors who will be graduating in spring 2017. The other two scholarships will be awarded to post-high school, continuing education students and current college students.

This is the third year the credit union has awarded scholarships to eligible members. Scholarship funds can be used for tuition, room and board, books and other educational expenses during the 2017-2018 school year.

“At MEMBERS1st, we recognize the value of younger generations, and we understand how important it is for them to be financially literate as they grow into adults,” said MEMBERS1st CEO Janet Borer. Adding, “We’re thrilled to be able to contribute to their education, and to our community, through these scholarship awards.”
