North Tama’s lone varsity runner, junior Case Monat completed his regular season ahead of Conference in 82nd place with a time of 19:40.4.

Following the Wolverine Invitational, Knights’ head coach Justin Parson continued to be encouraged by his team’s success this season which has hit some snags at times.

“We’ve been on a rollercoaster ride this season having great runs, but we are also battling injuries at the same time,” Parson said. “The kids have been working very hard and we are seeing that work pay off with some great runs lately. We hope that we are all healthy and rested for our [North Iowa Cedar League] meet and for districts. I am very excited to see what goals our kids can achieve.”

Both teams were set to compete this week Thursday, Oct. 13, in their respective conference meets with Union hosting the North Iowa Cedar League Cross Country Meet at La Porte City Golf Club beginning at 3:00 p.m.

That same afternoon, North Tama was scheduled to head north to Wartburg College for the Iowa Star Conference Cross Country Meet.

The State Qualifier is currently set to take place on October 20, while the State Cross Country Meet is scheduled for October 29 at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course in Fort Dodge.
