The Tama County Fair Association will be holding their annual Fair Challenge during the 2023 Tama County Fair. Anyone is eligible to enter.

This year’s theme is “Recycle, Rescue, Restore, or Reuse.”   

Take any old item and create a unique decoration or functional piece. A headboard becomes a bench! Turn gameboard pieces into a clock! Do you have an old wooden chair with no legs? Make it into an outside swing!  Use your imagination!  Team up and work as a group, work all by yourself, or invite someone in your communities to get involved.   

Creations must be brought to the fairgrounds office on Monday July 10, 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. or Tuesday, July 11 from 8 a.m. to noon. All Challenge entries will be auctioned off during the Opening Ceremonies, after the Tama County Fair Queen Coronation, on Tuesday July 11. All proceeds will go to the Tama County Scholarship Fund.
