Iowa PBS’s Road Trip Iowa to feature Tama County’s Bohemian Alps

The Bohemian Alps of Tama County will be featured on an upcoming episode of Iowa PBS’s new series, Road Trip Iowa. The episode will premiere Wednesday, May 15 at 6:30 p.m. and be rebroadcast Saturday, May 18 at 9 a.m.
In this episode of Road Trip Iowa, travel the hills along Iowa’s Czech Trail which have made generations of Bohemians feel right at home. The episode will also highlight other stops along the Iowa Valley Scenic Byway including the Traer Salt & Pepper Shaker Gallery, Otter Creek Marsh, Meskwaki Nation’s Red Earth Gardens, Lincoln Cafe and the Amana Colonies.
Road Trip Iowa explores the flattened prairie down the Jefferson Highway Heritage Byway, catches the stunning Mississippi River views on the Great River Road, drives through the Bohemian Alps on the Iowa Valley Scenic Byway, and discovers the best places to stop during the journey. Viewers take an adventure across Iowa’s scenic byways, enjoying the historic sites, unique attractions and natural beauty along the way.
