Celebrate ‘Get Outdoors Day’ with Tama County Conservation

OTTER CREEK LAKE & PARK – It’s almost summer and that can only mean one thing – GET OUTDOORS!
The Tama County Conservation Board is inviting the public to enjoy a FREE canoeing day at Otter Creek Lake and Park on June 14 in celebration of national “GET OUTDOORS DAY.”
Available canoes will be scheduled by reservation. Please call Otter Creek Lake and Park to reserve your FREE (2 hour) time slot. You may also take your chance on a few first-come-first-served canoes by just showing up between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025 (last canoe returned by 3:30). Reservations must be made by an adult and a valid driver’s license is required the day of.
Paddles and life jackets will be supplied, and life jackets must be worn. Participation is “at-your-own-risk.”
